Dream with Ricky Skaggs
In the early morning of June 4th (which was mine and Jan’s 24th wedding anniversary) I had a detailed, Technicolor dream involving my good friend, country and bluegrass artist Ricky Skaggs and myself. In the Dream, Ricky and I were sitting on the floor next to each other and between us was a very old, vintage, dark Sunburst Martin guitar. Most should know who Ricky Skaggs is, but for those of you who don’t, Ricky Skaggs is a world renown American, country, and bluegrass singer, producer, and song writer, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. His musical inspiration and protege was the late Bill Monroe. Rick Skaggs is also the recipient of many Grammys, CMA and AMA awards for his amazing musical achievements and contributions. Like myself, Ricky was a very close friend with the late Bob Jones and is known to many as, one of the prophets.
“There is a brand new musical prophetic anointing arising in this season that will usher in a new era of revival much different in appearance than revivals of the past.”
In the dream, this old “Sunburst” guitar, according to Ricky, appeared to be from the early 1860s making it a “Civil War” era piece and was very rare and valuable. It was dusty, like it had been sitting out in the open and played for quite some time, but that didn’t seem to bother either one of us. At one point in the dream, Ricky reached forward and quickly grabbed the guitar and signed his name on the front, right under the pick guard. The only thing I could think was, “Man, Ricky, I wish you would have waited until we cleaned it up a bit, so we could preserve the autograph.”
This was the end of the dream. Now, I want to give you a bit more information to tie this together so this will all make sense to you.
Tennessee Turned 222 Years Old
This past June 1st, the state of Tennessee, whose capital is Nashville, turned 222 years old. One of Tennessee nicknames is “The Volunteer State” which some say was given during the War of 1812. This year, Tennessee is also celebrating its “110th” General assembly, in its “222nd” year as a state.
Revelation 22:1-2 says, “Then He showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing our from the throne of God and of the Lamb, through the middle of the broadway of the city; also on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations.”
Daniel 2:22 says, “He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.”
The Day of Your Power in the “Volunteer State”
As I shared, Tennessee is known as the “Volunteer State” and this year marks its “110th” General Assembly.
Psalm 110:3 says, “Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of Your power.” Tennessee turned “222” years old on June 1st which is “6-1”.
Isaiah 61:1 says, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified Me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted: He has sent Me to bind up and heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound.”
The New Sound of Great Awakening
This Sunburst guitar was apparently from the “1860s” placing it at the time of Charles Finney and the Second Great Awakening in America. In light of this dream and the information shared above, this is what I believe the Lord is saying about Nashville, Tennessee and America.
“Because of this ‘shot heard around the world,’ the ‘Minute Men’ would rise up – young people who would begin to set this nation free.”
There is a brand new, musical, prophetic anointing arising in this season that will usher in a new era of revival much different in appearance than revivals of the past. A new sound is here being released by new prophetic minstrels that will usher in new realms of glory to bring forth a new revival. It will flow from the Revelation “222” Lamb of God that brings healing to the nations. When people see it they will volunteer willingly as in the Scripture “Psalm 110:3” (above).
This new revival will be linked to past revivals, but will be altogether different as it will be brought forward by a new musical prophetic company that will carry the “Spirit of the Lord” that transforms people, churches, cities regions and nations.
Musical Prophets that Carry the Spirit of the Lord to Change Others
Soon after Samuel anointed Saul as King over Israel, he told him, “After that you will come to the hill of God where the garrison of the Philistines is; and when you come there to the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place [of worship] with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, and they will be prophesying. Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you mightily, and you will prophesy with them, and you will be changed into another man” (1 Samuel 10:5-6 Amplified).
These new, musical prophets live in the secret place of God’s presence, in the high place, and as they come down from that place, they carry the atmosphere of Heaven and release the Spirit of the Lord that changes others, regions and nations.
Nashville’s Prophetic Minstrels – the “Sons of David”
Nashville Tennessee is in Davidson county. That’s David’s sons or the Sons of David, which are prophetic minstrels.
Bob Jones said years ago that Nashville is the place where the shot is heard around the world. He said America has seen her “Woodstock” and now get ready for the Lord’s “Godstocks”. There wont be a building big enough to hold this revival and it will have to go to the open fields!

“In 1989, the Lord gave me a vision that out of Nashville would come ‘a shot heard around the world.’ It would start a revolution to bring liberty and a new freedom to the Church in America.
“Because of this ‘shot heard around the world,’ the ‘Minute Men’ would rise up – young people who would begin to set this nation free. They would go to the city and also to the open fields where they meet together and have many different bands playing different types of music. This music will touch people and will raise up these ‘Minute Men’ who cannot be stopped; for they will be youth with a vision, and they will go throughout the world and it will bring forth the greatest harvest that has ever been known.
“It will begin the harvest of one billion youth coming to the Lord in these coming days, which has already started. We will see the greatest harvest of all time taking place in America. It will be on the streets, it will be in the parks, it will be wherever youth gather together, for this music will reveal salvation and a new awakening to the presence of the Lord.
“This is the year of the golden throats, and you will have anointed music like you have never seen before and the arts of all types. The next two years are to prepare for the Lord’s Woodstock.
“Fifty years ago, the world had their Summer of Love – now get ready for the ‘GodStocks’.
